Uncovering New Demand for Ergonomic Seating Components & Supply Chain Shifts

Last week, we had the pleasure of exhibiting at Interzum 2025 in Cologne, and what a week it was. As a company focused on ergonomic seating components, it was a fantastic opportunity to connect, learn, and share. Here’s a quick look at our experience and key takeaways from the show.

Our Goals – and What We Gained

We approached Interzum with three key aims:

  1. Connect with new partners

Engage with furniture manufacturers, designers, and ergonomic specialists who may not yet know about our high-performance seating solutions.

  2. Showcase our Air Seating technology

Highlight the benefits of dynamic seating components, designed for comfort, durability and innovation.

  3. Explore emerging trends

Identify new technologies to integrate into future ergonomic office and seating solutions.

We’re pleased to say we achieved all three. The conversations were fresh, insightful and full of potential.

Who We Met

We welcomed a wide mix of visitors to our stand, but mainly:

  • Furniture manufacturers seeking reliable European suppliers

  • Product designers exploring cutting-edge ergonomic seating components

  • Workplace consultants focused on adaptive office solutions

This variety led to some valuable discussions about how ergonomic seating is evolving, and where our solutions can play a role.

What Sparked the Most Interest

  1. Rising Demand for European-Made Seating Components

Many attendees expressed interest in reducing reliance on Chinese suppliers, seeking shorter lead times, better quality control, and direct manufacturer relationships. As a trusted European producer of ergonomic seating components, AirCare Systems is well-positioned to meet this demand.

  2. Cost Efficiency & Simplified Sourcing

With rising production costs and tighter margins, brands are looking for ways to streamline supply chains. Our direct-to-manufacturer model eliminates unnecessary intermediaries, offering:

    • Competitive pricing

    • Faster delivery times

    • Customisable seating solutions

  3. The Evolving Workplace: Flexible & Ergonomic Design

The shift toward hybrid workspaces continues, with demand for versatile, functional seating. Our Air Seating technology aligns perfectly with this trend, offering adjustable support for modern office environments.

  4. Sustainability vs. Practical Innovation

While sustainability remains important, cost-efficiency and smart engineering took centre stage this year. Buyers want durable, high-performance seating components.

What’s Next for AirCare Systems?

We’re in early-stage talks with a European tech partner about integrating an innovative new feature into our product line. If successful, this could expand our market reach and offer even greater value to customers.

Final Thoughts

If we had to sum up Interzum 2025 in just three words, it would be:

Uncovered New Demand

The biggest lesson? There are volume customers out there who haven’t yet heard of us, and vice versa. We will keep exploring, asking questions and staying visible. There’s no single route to market anymore, so we’ll keep mixing it up - online, in person and everything in between!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our stand - we enjoyed talking to you. If you didn’t get a chance to connect, it’s not too late! Drop us a message or explore our Air Seating range on our website.

Let’s keep the conversation going.
